Healthy Relationships : How can I make my relationship better?

Is there magic that some relationships last longer than others? maybe. Do some people just sit there and moan while others seem to let life go over their heads and problems? It certainly looks like that. Or some learn the secrets of success from their grandparents or other relatives or friends. Since the latter is often more accurate, here is some tried and true advice from people who have enjoyed long, happy relationships.

  1. Take the time to look back at REFRESH, refresh your memories and share what brought you together. Especially in difficult times, lean back and rely on these old memories as your foundation and stick with them again.
  2. DATES Dating with each other. Even if life seems to be very busy, meet at the end of the evening for something light and easy, such as watching your favorite sitcom (recording it if necessary) or playing a Euchre game.
  3. Forget the bad things that happened during a dispute do not always need to be remembered. Actively sometimes forgetting. Be the first person to apologize and adapt. Do it!
  4. SPACE Give each other some space. Either you believe or you do not believe. Deal with life anyway. People need time and time alone with their spouses and other friends. Be sure to give and take your reasonable space.
  5. Disagree or Agree on some issues and leave it at that. You do not have to create a new religion or political movement to comfort both of you. You do not have to agree to everything. You will not. And never mind.
  6. Make a few Memories together. Enjoy special occasions, special anniversaries, and events. No need to elaborate. For example, maybe you enjoyed watching a hot air balloon race on a spring day. Next year, you can schedule a time to watch it again. Make it an annual event. Add balloon postcards on them, play cards, throw pillows over time and it becomes a theme.
So do not sit idly by. Take short steps to improve your relationship and let life's problems magically go away while you maintain your relationship.

Now you know what to do and how to do it to improve relationships. If you follow some tried and true advice, you can improve your relationship.
